This is buying guidance. AdBlockList.com does not advertise paid list inventory, accept payments, or quote a subscription price.
Put your requirements in writing
Identify the target platform, input format, categories, and permitted uses before asking for a quote. A browser subscription for personal use may not include the right to redistribute a dataset in a commercial product.
Describe your update workflow and the consequences of a wrong entry. This turns a vague discussion about “better coverage” into questions a supplier can answer with documents and a representative evaluation sample.
Ask for observable maintenance
Request a changelog, a description of the review process, and an example of how a mistaken classification was corrected. Ask which parts of the dataset are independently maintained and which originate elsewhere.
- What exactly counts as an entry?
- Which rule syntaxes and versions are supported?
- How are removed domains and exceptions delivered?
- What can you do when an update cannot be fetched?
A published process is a starting point for evaluation; it is not proof that every change will be correct.
Compare the whole operating cost
Beyond a fee, consider integration effort, review time, update handling, and the cost of reversing a bad rule. Ask whether a proposed price includes support, redistribution, or only access to a file. Compare like-for-like usage rights and formats.
Do not pay extra merely for a large count or an unexplained AI label. The AI score guide offers questions for evaluating automated classification claims.
Design a small evaluation
Use representative pages and tasks, record the baseline, and define success before adding the candidate data. Include legitimate advertising-adjacent functions such as account access, consent choices, and embedded media in the checks.
